Hi all - the A/C in my '99 stopped working. When I look at the compressor it's not engaging. I've searched the forums and many mention checking the compressor relay but nobody describes where to find it. Could somebody point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

Low refrigerant is much more likely than a bad relay.

If your refrigerant leaked out, the PCM will not engage the AC compressor clutch due to low pressure. If you manually jump the relay and run the compressor without refrigerant (which also contains lubricant) the compressor will be damaged/destroyed.

Thanks for the replies. I checked the relay by swapping it with another that I know works and still nothing. So much for the quick fix. I guess I'll have to take it to get it looked at professionally.
