You might have had LOT of gaskets replaced, but I'm very certain you didn't have ALL of them replaced.
Please specify exactly what work was performed.
Was the work done by a GM dealer, major shop, local shop, shadetree, or your BIL?
Secondly, there are three different 'oils' that can leak from a GA V6 (engine oil, PS fluid, and auto tranny fluid), and about a dozen major leak points.
We need a little more information:
* Where is the oil leaking: Location of puddles-on-the-driveway, or oil spots on various spots.
* What color is the leaking oil: Brownish/black, or reddish?
* How much do you have to fill-up: A quart every month, or every week, or every DAY?
Have you taken the car back to the one who did the work, and asked, "Hey, why is the car leaking oil?"
Most mechanics are glad to do a follow-up inspection to keep a happy customer.
Standing by,
-Rick

Gaskets on what where replaced? Is it an engine or a transmission, what engine or transmission, and what gaskets where replaced. How can we tell you when we don't know??????????????????????????????????????
It may be a seal that is leaking, and just because a gasket is replaced that doesn't always mean it is not going to still leak there. If the person replacing said gasket does not know how to do it properly it is likely to leak. Also things like the oil pressure sensor can leak, the oil filter can leak if not installed right. Common engine leak spots would be valve covers, oil pan, timing cover, front and rear seals. Automatic transmission leak spots are front and rear seals, oil pan, manual linkage shaft and vent.
And then there is the power steering system, it can leak. Pump seal, hoses, fittings, the steering gear, or boost cylinder if thats what the vehicle has.

Ok well the puddles are on the right side on the inside of the tire it is coming from on top of the enginge. it is a brownish/black and smells like oil. i have to add a quart about every week now. The guy that put the new/used motor in said that it might be a oil sensor.. i dont know much about that kind of stuff because i havent worked on it at all. but the leak is coming on what seems to be the top because it is so hard to see. but if you were looking at the motor in the front there is a spot on the left side on the top off the motor. i know im probably not helping buy saying this i just dont know what is wrong with it

A picture would probably do more justice for us here, but from where you are saying it is there isn't much that can leak in that location except the UIM (Upper Intake Manifold) gasket. It wouldn't be the Power Steering Pump cause that is the on the right side of the engine bay if looking from the front.

And if you lift the hood and stare at the engine, the leak appears to come from the TOP left of the engine?
There is NO engine oil in that area.
At the BOTTOM left of the engine (as you stand at the bumper and look at it), there is the front seal (donw at the crankshaft 'snout'), but there's no oil above that.
I don't know why the engine is consuming a quart of oil each week; at 300 miles per week, that is WAY too much and something is very wrong.
The used engine that was installed could have been faulty (worn piston rings), or the guy could have attached things improperly, allowing a leak.
Above the crankshaft snout, at the TOP of the engine, is the power steering pump.
Its fluid should be red, like tranny fluid, but yours might be honey-colored.
Examine your PS fluid in the reservoir, and compare it to the stuff in the puddle.
Personally, I would do 2 things:
* Clean the engine completely with the high pressure hose at the coin car wash, then add 'Universal UV Dye' to the crankcase oil; after running the engine a few miles, I would examine underhood with a 'blcak light (or LED flashlight) to find the glowing area indicatign where the oil is coming out).
* Take the car back to the mechanic, to have him discover why the engine he installed is consuming/leaking so much oil.
Hope this helps,
-Rick
PS: The oil pressure sensor is in the middle of the front of the engine; it can easily leak, but the oil will dribble straight downward.
It won't end up near either tire.

my guess is def the oil presure sesor. where the plastic links to the housing it can come loose and leak oil. on the v6 the sensor is located under the filter. bout a 15 minute job and 30 bucks. hope this helps
