Okay, I have a couple of questions about these because I was looking into some performance upgrades and the 62mm TB and Manifold from RSM Racing are in my price range and wouldn't require disassembling the block to install (right?). Okay, first question is what are they and what do they do? Also, how would buying the ones from RSM increase the performance of my car? How much would they increase my performance? How difficult would they be to install (would I have to remove the engine, jack the car, disassemble other parts of the engine etc.)? And what tools would I need to install them? Thanks

mk, well i am prolly ordering these 2 things tomorrow from rsm. so i guess i can answer a few questions for ya.
no dissasembling the block
the throttle body is what controls the airflow into your engine, when you press the gas, it opens letting air in. a bigger one means more air, means more power.
the intake manifold is what the throttle body leads into which leads into the...yeah, engine, not quite sure. porting it (which is what rsm is doing) will allow more airflow, more airflow is more power.
i emailed rsm asking what kind of performance gains i should be looking at and they told me 14-16 hp. with no loss of low end torque, just gains in the mid and high range.
it shouldnt be too too hard to do yourself, theyre just bolted on. but i am still going to let a shop do mine, i dont like doing that kind of stuff to my car. but other than that, no you will not need to jack your car, or remove the engine.

Now I am even more confused, I just looked in the Haynes manual and it says that the Throttle Body is part of the fuel injection system, it says something like "Warning, the fuel system is under constant preassure, be sure to relieve the preassure before working on the Throttle Body", Are there two different Throttle Bodies in a car, one that controls fuel flow and one that controls air flow?

hmm....lol, dunno man. buy it and take it to a shop, they will know what to do man. but im 100% sure that the throttle body is what controls the airflow into the engine

Okay, I read it wrong, I was looking at the TBI, Throttle Body Injection Unit, which is actually a part of the fuel system
