'99 GA wipers will not turn off

Hello All,
The wiper blades on my '99 will not turn off. They work fine through all speeds when there on but when I turn them off they keep running in low. I replaced the Multi switch but no help.

Most american wipers are thus:

The switch in the cabin sends power to a relay in the wiper motor assembly.
Inside the actual motor mechanism, there's a little arm-and-cam that determines when the mechanism is all the way down, in its 'park' position.
The arm deactivates the relay when it senses the blade has parked.

The entire assembly won't stop until that arm-and-cam has deactivated the relay.


The plastic cam or the arm inside your wiper motor has prolly worn-out or broken.
