Hi all, newbie here.
I have a 00' Grand Am GT v6, 115k that I have just recently bought.
I was driving around one day and my left and right turns were making an awful noise, so I presumed the car was low on power steering fluid. I checked, and sure enough it was almost empty, so I bought some and filled it up. A week or two later, the SAME problem again. I check my driveway and I can see the small pool of fluid.
I checked under the car and I can see the hose covered in fluid but because I am no professional, I wouldn't be able to tell if it's the pump, low pressure, what-not. my question is, how much do you think it would cost to fix it at a local shop? Would there be any quick remedies in the meantime while I have time to find a decent shop, aside from keep filling it up?
