By the looks of the hood I would say it is. Look at the engine bay pic you will notice a hole on the right underside of the hood.

Hi, my name is Angie, and I'm an SD Ram Hood addict :agree:

:agree: I'm starting to see SC/T ram air hoods all over the place now, and that SD hood is really starting to take a hold on me.... And I completely agree with kelly :thumbup2: The gauges in the pod and the cluster blend the whole interior/exterior very nicely!
PS when the hell is PFYC going to start making metric gauges? for us canadian customers?!? oh well... no use ranting here...
BTW very sweet, clean GA!! I love it and if there was a voting box for GAOTW i'd be casting my vote right now, (and a few extras LOL)

To answer your question, the hood is sort of functional. There is air ducting from the front two heat extractors that run to the air box area. Someone had mentioned the hole cut out on the underside of the hood and they were correct in that it was. The current problem is that the air box needs to be modified to meet up directly with the hood.
Here is a better shot of the underside of the hood for those interested.

The piece you see on the right hand side there is a water catch for the passenger rear heat extractor. I decided that closing that heat extractor completely would be best, since the car is driven daily year round in Michigan weather. The rear drivers side heat extractor comes completely closed already, such water and other elements do not leak into the air box.
PFYC.com has claimed that they were working on an air box, but it doesn't take two year to do this. I have an idea of what I might do, but I am not sure if it is worth the hastle, since it would involve removing the drivers side front quarter panel to do it correctly. As to see how the air box was butting up to the top of the hood when it is shut.
But overall the hood is a great purchase and offers a great weight reduction. Closing a stock hood comparitive to the SD ram air hood is a considerable difference due to the light weight fiberglass.
Here is an overhead shot of the hood for those interested in what the complete hood looks like.

Yeah they are nice cars, but they lack the 5-6 six speed that would push it over the top:)

You don't have to remove the fender to check the clearance between the hood and airbox.
Just use some modeling clay or something simular.
Wrap it in plastic or wax paper and place a few chunks of it on the air box and close the hood.
When you reopen the hood the clay should be the proper height.
BTW, nice car.

Thanks. The local GA joke is that I must be eating off of it to keep it that clean. A friend of mine specifically brought his GA over for me to clean it for GAP2003, MikeNT.

Well that settles the debate on whether to get the SC/T or the SD hood! I love how the hood lines flow with the car! Awesome looking car. I wish I was going to the GAP so I could see it in person.

Hadji's car got the full SC/T kit on there and he's thrown a load of money into his car recently. He's definately into modding his car out more then I am at the moment, as I am saving to build myself a house. But if you're going to GAP then Hadji's car wont disappoint you in the looks category, but I keep hastling him on the perfomance end:)

I will not be at GAP this year myself, I have to work both friday and saturday this weekend, so paying to go just for thursday was not worth the fee.
I noticed your from Michigan. We sometimes hang out in downtown Plymouth, there are about three or four GAs and a variety of other cars that are usual down there. If you wanna come check out our stuff, just send me an email with a specific title so that I know its not junk mail! We'd love to have you one night!

I'll have to check that out in a few weeks. Plymouth is a little bit of a hike from Grand Rapids, but I'm all about crusing.

If I was going to Chicago, I would be tempted to stop on through, but I don't see that happening in the near future.

Finally got a decent interior shot of my car, which includes embroidered floor mats, embroidered seat belt pads, white face gauges, A-pillar pod with autometer phantom gauges, and pilot racing pedals.
