Has anyone removed the center piece to their Chromtech rims? Is it even removable? If so and someone has, how did you do it and do you have any pics of the results?
Thanks.

Assuming you have the standard 5-spoke chrometechs from 1999-2002.5, simply remove the wheels from the car, and poke the center cap out from the back side.
I'm not sure what you're looking to accomplish by removing it though... :idunno:

Simple solution. . . Use a suction cup

Well, you've kind of changed my mind. I thought somewhere I saw a pic of a car with the centercap of the chromtechs missing, and there was just more chromtech behind it. If it is just a whole (as opposed to more chromtech) then there is no reason to take it off.

Sorry Kelly, I rushed that explanation.
I was thinking that there was more "actual rim" beind the center piece, and that the center piece was just a decorative item. Shawn said you can poke it out from the back, which means that there would just be a hole behind it.
Better?

Hmmm, never thought of that. :) As long as the caps aren't too tight that'd work. :thumbup2:

You run the risk of scratching the cap though unless everything is COMPLETELY CLEAN!!! :D
