I wouldn't try wetsanding on a car right away, it's basically purposely damaging your clear coat. If you wanted to do it yourself practice on a dented fender from a body shop.

Um, why not?
It's not damaging anything, it's leveling off uneven paint.

:agree: I'm still trying to work up the confidence to wetsand, but I'm so scared of messing it up even worse.
To the OP, my uncle painted my car and knows what he's doing, and my car still 'orange-peeled' he told me that this was normal, but that it did need to be wetsanded, but that he ran out of time to do it. Not exactly sure what your paint looks like though.

lol we have no clue what is even wrong.
Buffing isn't that difficult, just make sure you keep moving, and try and push the buffer, and pull it in the same directions each time.
Wetsanding is a pain, it's easy to sandthrough on edges, and it's easy to push down to hard in some spots and end up taking more clear off in one area then others.
and orange pill is completely normal, even in factory paint jobs,
most auto-body techs try to match the orange peel.
trying to think of what else could be wrong lol
