i don't know where to post it so we'll try here...
I'm thinking about making the exhuast exit out the rear bumper...like 5 in. behind the rear wheels...and i wanna go dual (i pipe, or whole, on either side). keeping the muffler in the same spot just fabricating the pipes to the side. anyone have a recommendations for muffler type, pipe diameter, or the idea in general? thanks a lot guys

Try the flowmaster 80 Series muffler. It is a one inlet, two outlet muffler that would be easy to pipe for a rear bumper exit. Plus it provides good clearance. Try this link. Not to sure about the sound of this muffler on the 2.4, however.Flowmaster 80 Series (http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/web10/SePerfMuff9.html)

The FM 80 is for higher output engines (HO V6's and V8's).. the sound will be rather crappy i heard.. as for dual pipes, i also heard that you will loose low end power with them (like whats on a mustang) i would try though, using a turbo muffler or two in a custom config like that.. you might want to have a pro do a little tweaking and you should have it... for a turbo muffler, i would try the borlas... they give you a great sound for about as much as FM

i heard it on a 2.4 at a MGAC meet in michigan and it sounded a lot better than what i have heard people say about it.
