ok this winter im going to be using another vehicle (:D) and now the problem has arisen, what do i do with my grand am? i was thinking buy a car cover for it, then park it outta the way. i dont have a garage or have a winters worth access to one haha, so frankly thats all i could do , right? does anyone suggest laying some microfiber towels over the top before the cover to be careful, or have a certain cover to buy? and i will be washing and waxing it directly before i "store" it. any info? thx
btw hope this is the right spot

I would get a soft car cover for it, perhaps one that is even bigger than the car, then cover it in a big ass tarp that you bungee cord to the underside of the car to keep it on all winter
Also, you should take out the battery and any video stuff, and move it once or twice so you don't flat spot the wheels

Disconnect battery, put the car on jack stands so you don't get flat spots on the tires and keep the load off the suspension...don't get a cheapy cover a good cover shouldn't scratch up the paint.
If you're a balla get one of these

Fill the gas tank and add a bottle of a name brand fuel stabilizer.
Put some mothballs inside the car to keep rodents from taking up residence.
Put an open can of a dessicant on a towel on one of the flooorboards to keep moisture from accumulating inside the car.

If you park it on dirt, lay down a big piece of plastic to keep ground moisture down.

If you dont want to flatspot the tires and dont want to lift it up you can put about 40-45 PSI in the tires and you will be perfectly fine.
Stabil for the gas tank.
Or you can rent a storage space. I found them for around $65-105 for a car sized one.

id rent a storage place. some places around here have $1 for first month. but you might need to have it for so long though.
