What is the difference between the SE and GT engine? what gives it the extra 5 HP?

GT has dual correct? so that makes 5 hp..wouldnt that more a little more?

yup its got duals....maybe it would be more if it was a nice aftermarket muffler...but its not....im really not sure...but i know its the exhaust...

if ram air only gives 5 hp then there is no reason to get it except for looks and the fake ones are aot cheaper than functional

any ideas on very very cheap hp gains, besides K&N airfilter cause I know about that one :)

The Ram Air effect can hardly be calculated on a dyno, you need air coming in the car at driving speed to really gauge it.

The extra 5 HP for the GT comes from a combinaiton of different exhaust piping and manifold. The difference is probably higher at the wheel though since the tranny ratio is different on the GT too.

the brochure will say Ram Air, but its really the exhaust piping..... GT = 2.25" SE = 2" ..... exhaust manifolds are the same on GAs

Hmmmm, I thought I remembered Spoon say something about the manifold a while ago. Might've been on the difference between the GA's 3400 and the Montana's 3400 though. I thought it was the difference between the SE and GT...

correct, GAs and Aleros are the same..... different for different platforms, ie. Montana, Aztec, Monte Carlo, Impala, any others I may be missing. Speaking of, I thought I would use this as advertisement that I have 2 sets of exhaust manifolds from an Aztec in the for sale forum :D
