Here in the near future I will be buying some new rims and tires. I am undecided on what size I should get. I want 18'' Eagle Alloy 077 w/225/40/18, but I am afraid that it will not look right since my car is not lowered. So I thought about 17'' with 235/45/17. Both combos end up being about the same height. But with the 18's I am afraind that it will look like wagon wheels, and I dont want that look. I really do not want to lower the car if I can help it. This will be going on a 2002 siver SE Sedan. What do you think? Will the 18's look ok without a drop. Or should I go with the 17's?

If you've got smooth roads where you live, go for the 18s. I went through this same debate when I bought my Eagle 077s and the 18s really fit the car well.

If you're worried about thin rubber with 18s, look at all the BMWs that run 18s stock. They seem to hold up well to road hazards.

I may just go with the 17's because I live in a rural area about 40 miles from work and the roads are always changing.

Well, I just could not stand it, I had to get 18s. I ordered them today.
