code 13 and battery dieing.

Service eng..soon light came on today, pulled code got 13.
Oxgen censor or throttle postition censor.

I have heard for the last couple weeks a sound like the butterfly is flipping hard, then it goes. Funny thing is my battery is dieing, I just bought it 2 weeks or so ago. 84 month battery.

I will hook a OHM meter to the throttle censor tomorrow and see what I get. The Alt gauge in the car reads on the + side, I have not seen it on the - side.

The last few days it seems like the thing is turning over slower, then today when I went to leave the store, I was wondering if it was going to spin fast enough to start. Finally started after 12 to 15 rumps.

Never got to it. I did try to start it real fast. It turned over slow, fired up, but I shut it off as I had other things to get to.

It's the starter,
Book says I will have to pull the Air clear hose to the TB, and drop the oil filter. Loosen the starter pull it back so I can get the wires off the siliniod then pull it out.

When I'm done I'll post what I really had to do.

It will come off easier if you remove your intake manifold.

well, on my year I don't think I will have to. I pulled the air line from the air filter to the TB, I can see the two mounting bolts pretty good.

I guess if it gets to that point, I may have to pull it...But I'm hoping not to.
