Does anyone know of a place that might sell a rebuild kit for the 2.3 LO? I am thinking about tearing down the engine and rebuilding it up better, but I cannot seem to find a place that sells them.

Well you probably want to get parts individually rather than a kit which would likely be all stock quality. I don't know of a complete rebuild upgrade kit. Are you gonna bore the cyls. over a little? Of course Manta has stuff for several levels, maybe talk to Tim and see if they have a package deal. I'll add a list of individual parts sources to the FAQ. I just noticed Manta has new July specials up and the gasket kit and rod bolt kit are on sale...

Here's a source from another post (search can be your friend:D):

I just noticed these guys don't have a '95 2.3 kit... It should still give you some idea, also remember it's an Olds motor so you will probably always find the stuff under OLDS 2.3...

I've got the parts sources in the FAQ now also...

Autozone now sells short block assemblies, includes almost everything for about 2,000 bucks, no manifolds(or TB) no ignition. They say you can get 1992-1994 GT Quad four motors in this configuration as well. Dunno if they are HO's though because the HO was so rare, it could be an LO that's rebuilt.

Well if I am going to rebuild, then I am going to use the one that I have so I don't have to do an engine block swap..That just seems to be more work..lol
