should i keep her

hey..new guy here. i got a 1997 grand am se 4 dr and can't figure out if i wanna keep her or let her go. she still runs strong but is nickel and dimming me to death

I have a 97 se 2dr. The only thing keepin it in my drive is that I still owe a bit of money on her. Shes got 130kms on her, but i hate her. First bad pontiac I had though.

Are the repairs costing more then a car payment? Can you afford a car payment? Do you want a car payment?

If the nickel and dime'ing is costing you on average $100.00 a month you might be better off keeping it. If one month it is $50.00 then the next $500.00 and then $1000.00 and back to $250.00 etc. then you might be better off getting a new car. A car Payment sucks, but knowing you have to pay 500.00/month to drive it is easier then not knowing what the next month will cost.

The most I've spent so far is prob $300. Nothin to major, just a front bushul. I just can't decide whether to modify it or not. I see what everyone else does to there but can't decide if it's worth it.
