What did you pay for your Grand Am?

Just got a red 2000 3400 V6 GT Ram Air (Probably swapping out for CAI soon) on Saturday for 1650. It needs some minor work like a new door handle and I need to pop the passenger door panel off to hook the automatic lock back up to the motor. I guess it fell off?

It's definitely an upgrade from my old car, which just got totaled. (Hyundai. Hahaha..) I was pissed it was a hit and run, but I definitely made out in the end.

Surprisingly it was one of the cheapest GTs in the area when I bought it. The first one that I almost got was an 01 with 175 000km, for $3000. I didn't get it because when I went back for a test drive they had already sent it to an auction.

Only the second owner of this vehicle. The woman that had it before me would never had sold it, but needed a 4 door vehicle for a couple of small children. Got it at a very good price I thought. Had to put a new battery in it when I bought it, due to it having sit for over a year.

Besides, an A/C bypass, solenoid in the transmission, and just basic maintenence, the car has been cherry to me.

I use to own a 96 GT that I bough new for $18,000. Dealer got me a bank loan with a good rate. I loved that car but had to part with it a few months ago cause it needed way too much work. Now have a 2009 Impala that I traded the GT for. Sometimes I wish I had kept the GT and had the things fixed a little at a time cause I miss that car, but still got the Impala.
