Shavin up GT parts before putting them on

Since I bought my car new, I always wanted a GT, but didn't want the 3400 motor. But, the more and more I looked at them, the more and more subtle changes I wanted to make.... So, I finally got around to them.

Its going very slowly, but not too bad. I picked up a GT rear last spring, GT Side Skirts and Door Panels about a month ago. First off, I absolutely hate the molding, it has to go. And I also don't like the line around the license plate either, it had to go.

So I began sanding....

Then more....

And some more....

And then it's ready to be modded. While doing this, I decided I had nothing interesting to do with the Pontiac logo, except maybe light it up, but I got tired of looking at it so I decided to shave that too. On a thread I made last week:
http://www.gaownersclub.com/forum/sh...d.php?t=106154
I showed how to use Bondo's Bumper Repair Kit, and the big SEM flexible bumper repair epoxy. THIS STUFF IS AMAZING!!!!

After slapping 1/2 the thing in the bumper:

After some sanding:

Still needs some work, but I ran out of sandpaper and after 6 hours into it.... it was time to call it a night. Still has a good amount of high and a few low spots, but nothing that can't be fixed. The SEM stuff sands extremely easy and smoothly, and is fully cured 30 minutes after you apply it. I highly recommend it

I won't be able to work on this again til Saturday, so more updates then

Gonna keep the GT ribs or just knock them down a little so that they're more subtle? Looks good, can't wait to see it primed instead of blocked

knock'em them down, can't all the way unfortunately due to where they line up on the doors, otherwise I would.

rear looks good man. I think if you knock down the ribs it might just look like you have wavy panels. Might look bad. I would figure out a way to just get rid of them all together.

Flat panels will look like RK Sport door panels.

only difference is that the rk sport panels don't go in towards the front of the door like the gt panels do, otherwise I would of just bought those.

I still want to mold the SC/T rear on before I primer this up.... anyone sellin the kit on the cheap? PFYC doesn't sell it piece by piece anymore.

you may have to wait until a sct rear magically falls from the sky into my hands... i want to mold that on before i primer / paint.

is the sct kit made out of FRP or glass? im pretty sure the front is glass but not sure about the rest of the pieces

I'd guess FRP, since the rear bumper lip is flexible to a degree.

From my knowledge there is no glass in this kit. The front lip is just a little less flexible than the rear, but it is significantly thicker. And the skirts are just like the stock GT skirts.

is there a major difference between the sc/t skirts and the gt skirts? I don't think I've paid too much attention the last few times I've seen a sc/t kit in person.
