Classifieds Section Rules

Continual problems within this section have forced us to clamp down. Here are the new rules for the Classifieds section:

1. No Thread Bumping.
2. No Price Policing.
3. There is no 'Dibs'. The seller is free to sell to whomever they choose.
4. If you aren't interested, don't respond.
5. No commercial/vendor ads, we have the commercial sellers section for that.

Bumping serves absolutely NO purpose at all and it's this premise which has to be understood by all. It makes a mockery of the Classifieds section as bumps spawn bumps. The whole idea of "my sale being more important than yours" is disrespectful toward others at best.

TTT - Bump - Still for sale - Bump her up - come on! - Season nearly on us now - Still available - so and so is a great seller - I've seen this car, it's mint... All examples of bumps.

• Any post not pertinent to the sale [by ANYBODY] is a bump
• Any testimonial info from the sellers friends are [arranged] bumps... (bump for my buddy etc...)
• Updates to the sale is fine so long as it's worthy of mention only.
• It's not necessary to make posts saying you sent/received PMs either, if the recipient is reading the post the would have seen the PM.

Most subsequent info added to sales items could as easily be edited into the first post of the thread.

If you believe the price is unfair, either offer what you are actually willing to pay, or don't respond at all. If you aren't interested in purchasing the item, we don't need your reply. Period.

Any off-topic, bumping, bashing, or price policing posts will be removed.

We encourage those interested in purchasing the goods listed to use the forums to ask the seller questions and arrange the transaction.

After a sale is completed, we ask that you edit your post and select the 'Sold' Post Icon (). We will then lock all threads which resulted in a sale, and all locked threads will be pruned after 90 days.
