Listen to this guy.

And really... read twice.... If you still have questions, search more.... twice... And then if you still have questions, search again. THEN start a thread if you really, really, really can't find the info.

not really...if mean i you think about it...you need the turbo blower, turbo headers, intercooler, all piping, def need an upgraded tranny, oil lines, coolant lines, etc, etc. The SC sounds expensive but all the parts for a turbo can add up.

like ^^^ they said...do A LOT of research...GL with whatever route you go.

you don't need an upgraded tranny. There's tons of boosted n-body and j-body guys that don't do a thing with the tranny. Look at both of my n-bodies.

the 2.4 s/c can be had for cheap. The eco charger kit you can get fairly cheap used, but new is pretty expensive. I could build a turbo setup for an eco for cheaper than the cost of a new eco s/c kit, and it would be a quicker car than if supercharged. But for someone that's not very mechanically inclined and doesn't want to do custom work or source parts from different places, the s/c kit is the way to go.

cheap in that case will be under $1K installed and tuned... probably going to end up spending a tad more though.

considering the aftermarket parts thrown in, it's a decent price, not too high. But you would still need to use the stock 2.2 TB.

a good tune, probably HPTuners or if you got a buddy who works at a GM dealer, bug him to do the JBody flash. Then figure out a way to get your throttle body to work, because it comes with a throttle body thats drive-by-wire.

Before you get too ahead of yourself, have you replaced the oiler and tensioner in the timing case? If not, do that first, or you'll just be setting yourself up for even more of a money pit.

Besides the price, and that specific are there any problems with that concept that you are aware of, or would you just recommend a roots style supercharger?

I want to charge this also and have come across a few good deals on the m62 roots. But to be quite honest the tuning seems like its very in depth, and could scare the crap even out of me.

As far as tuning is concerned, what tables would you have to adjust in say HPTuners? I know the VE table for one, but anything else?
