are you talking about the 3.1 MPFI or the 3100 SFI? There is a big difference (mainly the 3.1 is a lot less powerful). I found a 3100 with 4k miles on it for about $1100 after tax, not including installation.

Thumbs down

i got my 3100V6 out of a 97 Monet Carlo with 49k on it.... it makes 170Hp.. the old 3100 i had only made 155hp... i paid 600$$ for it. My fathers buddy help my drop it in. If you are looking to buy a 3100 make sure you get a newer one 96-98 they made some of the best inprovements then....... oh and make sure the car was hit from the back because if it were hit from the front there could be some internal damage to the Motor

p.s STAY AWAY FROM THE 94 3100!!!!! because they are not the best... i wouldnt even get it if it only had 2K on it LOL
they just were not that good

when you took the motor from the monte carlo, did you use the intake parts and the exhaust parts from the monte carlo? if you didnt then you might not be making 170...
