Digital Horsepower Inc: PCM Beta Testers Needed!!

Hello Everyone,

***UPDATE***

Looks like so far we have filled the 1998 slot and the 2002 slot. The more I get the better. We really need a 99 and a 2000 to make this happen sucessfully!

Keep em coming guys.

This is Jason from Digital Horsepower Inc. (www.digitalhorsepowerinc.com).

We calibrate power control modules (pcms) for most GM vehicles.

Currently, we are close to releasing our version 1.0 pcms for 3400 based Grand Ams!

We are currently performing dyno tests/calibrations in the Detroit, MI area. We have two dates planned:

March 15th and March 22.

We need at least 1 of each vehicle:

1998 3100 Grand Am
1999 3400 Grand Am
2000 3400 Grand Am
2001 3400 Grand Am
2002 3400 Grand Am

We would need you to show up early in the morning that day. Your car will be strapped to a chassis dyno for a full calibration in an attempt to finalize our release version 1.0 calibration.

Normally we charge over $500.00 for this work. In an attempt to make this happen faster (and to thank you for helping us out) we are asking for approximately $150.00 per participant to help defray the dyno costs (we rent chassis dynos on a daily basis, not hourly).

The more participation we have in this, the faster we can release this product!

FYI: We CAN and DO calibrate ANY Grand AM vehicle!

If interested, please contact me ASAP at:

Just to let you know, there wasnt a 98 3400 Grand Am, it was a 3100. And I have been looking all over to find reasonable prices to get my computer reprogrammed, it seems like everyone is charging around $300. I wont be able to drive out to Detroit but if this gets goin Im interested, that is of course you can reprogram a 95 3100 GA.

That year GA is not OBD-II based. Typically we only deal with obd-ii (and soon obd-III) based pcms.

However, we also are located in the burbs of Chicago. I notice you are in Rockford which is VERY close to us.

We may be able to work with you on your vehicle depending on what you need.

Thanks!

sounds good, where in Chicago are you located and how much do you think this would cost?
BTW dont you people love it how more performance companies have been interested in GAs lately, this is sweet

Send us an email (dhp@3800performance.com) that includes:

Year of vehicle
Engine
Modifications

From there we can discuss pricing/time frames.

Thanks

1995 2.3L quad dohc's are obd-II. Do you plan on hooking that up? There are literally hundreds that are looking for a chip. I myself don't need one (i have a superchip already) but countless others I'm sure would like to se this happen.

I'll have to verify that. I wasn't aware that ANY vehicle had OBD-II until late 96 at the earliest.

Keep in mind that some of the pre-obdII vehicles have the same "plug" beneath the dash that the later obdII vehicles have, however they are not the same system.

Thanks for the help though.
