How To Install

Alright Boyz and girlz, here's the question. i know how to install the thermostat that i got from hypertech into the car. that's not the problem. the question though is how come the diameter of the thermostat is so much bigger than the stock thermostat?? Also how do i seal the thermostat just like the rubber gasket on the stock stat. I know there's an edging that you could assume would be a built in gasket, but it's still metal. doesn't seem as if it would seal as well.. Any ideas???

It sounds to me as if they sent the wrong part - the diameter shouldn't have changed.

I just got my 180 thermostat today and it's the same size as the stock stat. i ordered a 160 a bit back and it was bigger that's what made me post about it. I was told that could be used on ga's but apparently it can't.
